Doug and I walked another circular route in Essex, this time just to the north of Harlow.
Starting from Harlow Town station, the walk takes you into countryside surprisingly quickly – the station is somewhat distant from the centre of the town. And, unlike previous Essex walks, it’s countryside all the way.
Bright winter sun caused a few exposure headaches, but also gave us some lovely deep-blue, saturated skies – often filled with planes from Stansted. This time, I didn’t make mistakes with white balance and not too many with exposure (although I still was not looking at the screen after each shot). See my gallery here – and Doug has an album from the day on his web site.
This walk’s route is, once again, from the excellent Saturday Walkers’ Club site (www.walkingclub.org.uk) download the route description here. The actual route we took can be viewed here. Although the route is listed as 13Km walk, the actual distance we covered was 15Km – and we didn’t get lost and only made one minor detour, looking for a some food, as the pub we found didn’t have any.
