Tankerton beach huts

… one viewpoint, eight cameras

The featured photo, taken in 2012, is one of my most commercailly successful photos – it’s in the top three for sales of my pictures – and Tankerton slopes, the location – a short walk from where we live, has inadvertently become a test site for any new photographic equipment. I hadn’t spotted this until recently, when I uploaded photos from my new iPhone 13 Pro to Lightroom and realised I’d shot the same scene many times before. It occurred to me it would be fun to see how the different pieces of kit compared. Here’s a selection of photos using eight different cameras, shot from roughly the same position. See the captions for techinical info. (My Leica Q2 has two photos in this sequence, because I couldn’t choose between the two.)
